Chapter 2 here! ENJOY...or else....
CHAPTER 2: The Red Kaizer The knights began their charge and thundered into the horde, cutting down soldier after soldier. It looked good for the capital army when a tall, hulking Greymon, clad in crimson red, armour plunged his sword into the ground. Lines of fire spread across the battlefield burning friend and foe alike. The burning trails stopped short of the city as ten blazing dragons burst from the ends of the trails and flew over the walls, scorching the archers in the process.
“God damn it...” RhodoKnightmon spat as he saw his proud soldiers writhing on the floor ablaze, living their final moments. He looked back to the city and saw the fire dragons begin their descent on the city. “The civilians...crap! Someone stop those bloody dragons!”
A raging twister burst up as if from nowhere and consumed the dragons and blew them out before the twister itself disappeared, at the bottom of it stood a huge soldier in tough dark blue armour. He had vicious, bloodthirsty eyes and wielded a huge double ended spear.
“Got ‘em.” The knight murmured before charging towards Susanoomon’s soldiers who had now pushed the knights into the city and were entering themselves. A group of soldiers noticed the brutal behemoth thundering towards them and tried to retreat, but were halted by the soldiers behind them.
“Nice work, Craniummon.” Rhodo commended as the knight blasted past him.
“Whatever.” Craniummon said as he began to tear into a group of soldiers. An Agnimon attempted to flee, but only managed a few steps before Craniummon swiped away his legs. He loomed over the Agnimon as he whimpered at the loss of his limbs.
“What...are...you....?” The Agnimon rasped as Craniummon raised his spear.
“I’m Craniummon,” The blood-soaked beast replied. “And I’m a royal knight.” The spear plunged downwards upon its target. Craniummon peered upwards to find his next target, only to find the Greymon from before heading towards him.
“A Kaizer eh? It’s been awhile since a sunk my spear into one of those.” Craniummon mumbled as he continued to re-insert his spear into the Agnimon corpse. KaizerGreymon began to run and Craniummon leapt backwards dodging a fast, but powerful swing from Kaizer’s sword. As Craniummon landed, Kaizer was already behind him.
“He’s fast.” Craniummon exclaimed before KaizerGreymon slashed his back. Craniummon yelled out and fell to his knees in pain. “I see...your sword creates shallow wounds, but also creates a...spark, briefly setting the wound alight. This is done to give your foes an excruciating death. You’re just like me...” Kaizer laughed.
“Me? Like you? I am a Greymon!” KaizerGreymon began. “I am a proud, decent warrior, not a bloodthirsty behemoth who lusts for battle. I am better than you in every way you can possibly imagine. Because of that, there is no way I can lose to you. You will die today Craniummon and you shall beg for mercy by the end of it!
“Dukemon, I need some support pronto!” Magnamon bellowed across the war zone.
“Just...a...sec!” Dukemon replied as he plunged his lance into a Vritramon. Grani flew over to Magnamon’s position, firing his cannon in conjunction. “Do not fear! I, Dukemon am here to help.”
“Shut up, stop being a noob and that catchphrase sucks! Just blow these guys up, let’s go home and watch Naruto. I heard Itachi comes back in this one!” Magnamon replied as he launched several plasma missiles from his armour.
“Well, I’m offended,” Dukemon stated, as his shield began to glow. “First, you call me a noob,” Dukemon’s Aegis began to emit a strange, high-pitched noise. “THEN, you dis the catchphrase. It’s staying.” The shield shot a huge beam of energy that blasted a line through the entire width of the enemy army.
“Still want to watch Naruto?” Magnamon asked.
“Oh, hell yeah!” Dukemon replied as he flew away towards another group of foes.
Craniummon fell for the fourth time, another burnt gash had been carved into him, this time, across his left arm. KaizerGreymon stood on his head and forced down.
“How much does it hurt now? Huh? How much?” KaizerGreymon laughed as he looked down upon the felled brute.
“A lot....” Craniummon rasped.
“How much?” KaizerGreymon repeated patronisingly.
“I...said...A LOT! AND IT FEELS REAL GOOD TOO!” Craniummon roared as power rushed through his body and he exploded with energy. KaizerGreymon was launched off Craniummon who was now standing, breathing deeply and maniacally. “SHIELD ME! ZERO ARMS: AVALON!” Avalon appeared in Craniummon’s left hand. It was a black shield with a red outline and had a strange, elongated skull design in the centre.
“I’ll admit, you have an incredible physical strength,” KaizerGreymon began. “But I’ve cut your back twice already. That shield won’t help you.
“Hah,” Craniummon spat. “You really don’t have a clue about the Zero ARMS do you? Each Zero ARMS, apart from being a useful tool, also comes with an add-on that boosts one of your attributes...Dukemon’s Grani increases the power of his shield beam thingy he does, Magnamon’s Olivier gives him more power and Rhodo’s shield, Athena gives him strengthened armour, however, he tends to keep Athena out at all times in case of ambush or assassination. Hmph! The paranoid bastard...” KaizerGreymon wore a face of fear as he heard the powers of a Zero ARMS and knew he needed to ask the question, yet fearing the answer.
“W-What about you?” KaizerGreymon asked, quivering.
“Me?” Craniummon smirked. “I get faster,” Craniummon disappeared and appeared behind KaizerGreymon. “A lot faster.” KaizerGreymon turned swiftly and the two began to tear across the battlefield, matching each other, blocking every blow. Craniummon briefly stopped and disappeared once again, showing the true speed he could obtain from Avalon. KaizerGreymon stopped. He scanned the area. Craniummon haad gone from sight.
“Coward!” KaizerGreymon roared before he heard a maniacal laugh from above him. He looked up to see Craniummon’s spear raining down towards him. He dropped his sword and was paralyzed with fear and shock. The end came swiftly.
RhodoKnightmon’s ribbons shaved another soldier down, but yet more soldiers thundered into the city; the number of Knightmon had fallen significantly. Magnamon and Dukemon, absent of Grani, came to Rhodo’s side.
“Where’s Grani?” Rhodo asked.
“He’s out of juice,” Dukemon replied. “Besides, I now get to show these bastards what I’m made of personally.” Suddenly, the enemy hordes pulled back slightly.
“What the hell? They’ve stopped.” Magnamon shouted as the battlefield went silent. Out of the hordes came Susanoomon, the shaman lord himself, walking slowly, yet purposefully. “Oh sh...” Magnamon began, but Susanoomon had deliver a titanic punch to his gut. Magnamon staggered backward and Susanoomon followed up with a kick to the chest, knocking Magnamon flying backwards.
“Magnamon!” Rhodo shouted and ran to punch Susanoomon, who grabbed his arm and launched him into high into the air and after about three seconds, Rhodo landed upon Magnamon.
“Lord Ogudomon...I serve only you...” Susanoomon mumbled as he began to walk into the city, his army still motionless. Magnamon and RhodoKnightmon staggered to their feet, however, they were in no condition to fight at all, let alone against Susanoomon. As Susanoomon walked Dukemon blocked his path. “What is this?” he asked calmly.
“You’ll go no further!” Dukemon roared, breathing heavily.
“And why is that?” Susanoomon replied.
“Because, I, Dukemon will not let you!”
“I must admit,” Magnamon began. “That time, it was kinda’ badass.”
