The bell for final homeroom rang, signaling for all of the students to return to their class room, for the final head count of the day. Students flooded into the halls, but as quickly as the mass had appeared, they had all taken their places in their assigned rooms.

Charlie sighed as she slipped into her seat, where she plopped her back pack onto her lap. The day had been had long as ever, and the last five minutes would likely prove to be the longest. The monotone voice of the teacher was a aggravating as ever. She was glad that she was not in one of the subjects that he taught, his lack of emotion was so startling that she was convinced he was a cyborg.

With her strange thoughts to preoccupy herself, she was unaware more or less of what was going on around her, until the final bell of the day rang, and all the other students began to flood out into the hallways, leaving her in her seat with a dazed expression.

This did not last long, as a fellow classmate prodded her in the ribs. Making a slight pained sound, she rose her eyes to Kitchell, whom was perhaps the most tomboyish girl in the entire school, and rough to boot. The girl smiled devilishly, while their third friend, Ami, remained as quiet as ever.

Like any other day, the three departed together, and made the trek towards their homes. The first to make it home was Ami, with a meek wave and polite 'Good bye,' then a street later Kitchell ran into her home, waving like a maniac and grinning like a fool, leaving Charlie to make the rest of her trip in silence.

She did not live far from the school, so it was not a long walk for her. She was home before she knew it, bellowing to an empty house.

From the kitchen, Lopmon emerged, nibbling at the crackers that she had in her hands. "Hey Charlie, no one was around, so I came down for a snack," she told the girl, and joined her in the climb up the stairs and towards her bedroom.

An afternoon nap seemed like a perfect idea, and with a quiet house, Charlie had no trouble simply falling onto her bed and drifting off to sleep for several hours, until she was woken for supper. As usual, with her father as the 'cook,' he had ordered pizza. Sleepily, she mad her way downstairs, grabbed a couple of slices, then began to head for her room once more.

"Going back to sleep, Charlie?" Tim asked, after having sandwiched two slices of pizza together. He rose his eyes in time to catch her nod, and laughed a little, "Stop staying up playing video games, or whatever it is you do," he commented, then began to eat.

When back in her room, Charlie sat at her desk, calling softly for Lopmon to come out from wherever she was hiding. The two ate in silence, while the girl slowly began to wake up - but that was not enough to prevent her from trying her hand at a nap again.

However, Lopmon shuddered slowly, as a strange feeling crossed her small body. "Charlie!" She exclaimed, while heading for the window. Outside the barking of several local dogs began, including the family's own, Brisket.

"That time again, huh?" She asked. She looked down at herself for a moment, before opting to change into an older pair of her stretch jeans, as well as a dark tee with some faded logo or another. Finally she snatched a zip up hoody and headed out of her room, her foot steps unusually heavy on the stairs. "I'm going out with Kitchell, dad, I'll be back later!" She called, knowing he would be put at ease by the thoughts. "Call my cell phone if you need me," she concluded, though she had forgotten to slip it into her fresh pair of jeans.

With that, she was out the door and in the streets. As winter was quickly approaching, the days were shorter, and it was already beginning to get dark outside. However, the she was thankful for the cover of darkness, it meant that no one was likely to see her Digimon friend, that was running ahead of her.

"Hurry Charlie! I have a really bad feeling!" She called, clearly not caring if anyone saw her, unlike her human companion whom was mortified to hear her speak in public.

Man, the first couple months that Lopmon was with me, there were hardly any disturbances, but lately it seems like every other week I'm out fighting monsters. She thought, blinding following her Digimon as she did so.

 ...

In the center of town, rather near to the school, a massive spider had begun her search for a location to construct herself a web. Perhaps even more alarming were the mini versions of it, that clung to it's body, waiting for their mother to catch them a meal.

The Dokugumon clambered to the top of the school, where she watched as vehicles drove by, with lights blaring. While she had little interested in the outside 'shells' which did not look edible at all, the flesh creatures inside appeared quite tasty.

It had been one of those days. The kind of days where you wake up feeling like your stomach is on fire, only for the pain to die down around noon, leaving your parents thinking badly of you for "playing hookie." Of course, these blatant accusations and obviously disapproving looks never phase the victim; for her, it was a day well spent bundled up in front of a television, watching day-time talk shows, or playing video games when you should have been doing homework or reading her text book.

But although she had stayed home from school for that very reason, Meghan Cybil had done none of those things, instead bundling herself up in layers and layers of clothing and going out to the park with her "pet lion" for some quiet time.

"It's nature," she had argued, meeting the eyes of her mother and father before they left for work. "Fresh air, a cool breeze, it's good for you! And there are public bathrooms, in case I need to hurl."

She'd smiled coyly, revealing the pink rubber bands along her teeth which matched the pink hooded sweater she wore. They also matched the pink pepto bisthmal she'd drank that morning to calm her stomach.

Her parents agreed, albeit reluctantly, and off Meg went, her little Kiara, clad in a pink harness intended for large dogs, trotting along beside her, and a pink book titled M or F tucked under her arm.

The pair, human and digimon, wandered the park until Meghan felt feverish, and then the two sat down, Meg on a bench, and Kiara on the ground, sprawled out in the sun, soaking up the rays like any self respecting feline would.

It was there they sat for several hours, resting, relaxing, enjoying the quietness while the other kids were still in school. Meghan even nodded off now and again, taking cat naps, varying in length, in tandem with Kiara, who had barely moved an inch since she'd plopped herself down around noon time.

In all likelihood, their harmony might never have been broken if not for the alarm that had shot through Kiara's being like a hot cattle prod in the side. Her head snapped up and she stared around, eyes wild. She looked up at Meg, but her eyes were glued to her book. She was so very near the end that she hadn't stopped reading, choosing to strain her eyes by the lights in the park as it grew dark. Kiara didn't want to bother her, but she had a bad feeling.

Kiara wasn't a fighter. She, like Meg, was a girly-girl and hated having her fur ruffled, but whatever this feeling was, it was big, and for once it wasn't something that she could simply shake off and ignore. It was too close. If there was danger, they might not be able to out run it, and besides, there was no overestimation when it is said that the feeling was big. Whatever kind of digimon had emerged through the digital gates, it was strong.

Kiara reached with her paw and nudged Meghan's leg. The girl let out a soft little gasp of surprise, then looked down with her soft stormy eyes and asked of her companion, "What's up, little lioness? Need the ladies room or something?"

"Something's wrong, Meg," replied Kiara, voice hushed, not only from worry, but as to avoid anyone overhearing more than they should.

Meghan's smile grew weak. "Wrong? As in . . ."

"I think we should go." Kiara was standing now, fur practically standing on edge as the hairs bristled in the wind. "And I don't mean home."

Meghan stared through her book. "I see." Sighing lightly, she stuck her paw print bookmark into the page and shut the binding. "We don't fight often," she mused, now gazing off into the distance, watching the leaves sway from the breeze. Looking back down to Kiara, she tucked some of her reddish blond hair behind her ear and nodded. "Alright. Lead the way."

A loud yawn escaped from Hewy Jackson's mouth as he strolled down the sidewalk. The night was already starting to come down in the city, even though Hewy had just finally gotten out of soccer practice after school. Silly winter and its short days. He was dressed in a white, yellow-stripped long sleeve shirt, and a orange, hooded tee over that, and a pair of light-brown shorts. His messy, sandy-blonde hair was hidden beneath his orange beanie. He had his hands folded over the back of his head, and was walking lazily towards home. He didn't live too far from school, which had just been let out a few minutes ago, so he often walked home. "I wonder where Elsumon is...?" the boy mumbled to himself, glancing up to the sky.

The last time they talked, which was that morning, he recalled Elsumon waking him almost twenty minutes too early in his mind. He did that every morning. Hewy sighed. After the rest of his fifteen minute walk, he could see his home just down the hill. Seeing that his father was still at work, as expected, Hewy felt a sudden burst of energy and a desire to get home more quickly then usual.

He started down the hill in a run, shooting towards his home. He loved running, being active in general. He got closer to his house, which was nearly at the bottom of the hill. He was just a few feet, and was passing the very last house. Elsumon, here I come, he grinned.

A brownish blur shot out, "Hewy!" it shouted, but hadn't quite realized just how close he was to finding what he was looking for. Hewy scrambled, and immediately, the two of them slammed into each other, throwing Hewy into the ground, eyes spinning. So was the blur's, which as it had stopped, revealed itself to be none other than the one Hewy was looking for.

"Hewy," the brown and red bird mumbled, shaking his head finally. "What were you doing? Running so recklessly like that!" he scolded in a voice with a slight, British accent. He jumped off of Hewy's chest, landing on the ground, "Now my feathers are a bothersome mess," he tried to fluff them back to normal.

"Me?" Hewy bolted up wearing an expression of annoyance. "You're the one that's flying around, running into me, like some lunatic!" Elsumon mumbled something that was incoherent, and continued to brush his feathers back into place. "What was the big rush, anyway?" Elsumon suddenly looked as though he ad forgotten something.

"Ah! Quickly!" he darted behind Hewy, using his wings to push the boy back to his feet. Hewy stood up, and was pushed forward quickly by the digimon.

"What is the big deal?" Hewy said finally, turning around to face the bird with crossed arms.

"Oh, yes," Elsumon started, putting a wing to his beak. "I suppose it is important to tell you exactly what is going on then..." Hewy sighed. "There's a Digimon," Elsumon said darkly, leading Hewy to don a similar, worried expression. "Yes, we must hurry, it isn't far."

It didn't take the pair long to arrive, back to the school no less. Just when Hewy thought he was done there for the day... He looked around for any digimon, or anything out of place. "I don't see a digimon..." Hewy said, glancing over at Elsumon.

The bird pointed upward. Hewy followed his motion, and his jaw dropped. A massive spider was standing atop the school, seemingly waiting for something. Hewy felt a shiver run down his spine at the sight. Spiders were creepy enough as it was... Giant spiders, though...

((OOC: I arrived at the Dokugamon... Not sure if you wanted us to attack yet though, Slaye.))

School had ended not too long ago, and Vivian had made her way home, just as many were or had been in the process of doing themselves. She'd opened the door with as little noise as possible. While many others her age, more than likely, had both parents off working, away at some building or job site, Vivian's case wasn't the same.

"...Mom," Vivian had begun, but the word had felt odd as it left her mouth. She sighed, restarting herself. "Mother, I'm here," she called out, unsure which room Mother had shut herself in as of today. A muffled sound came from another room, simply acknowledging Vivian's words.

With that, Vivian made her way to her room. Opening her bedroom door, she was met by the sight of Zorn sitting on her bed, staring at one of Vivian's books. Vivian made no comment, as she knew exactly what it was he was doing. This had to be the third time this week he was looking through her books, and it was evident he hadn't found what he was looking for yet.

"Why don't you tell me which of these stupid things it's in," Zorn growled, making the question into a statement. Vivian watched as he turned the page, doing so carefully with the aged book. She felt a smile slowly creep its way onto her face, as Zorn had learned better than to be anything but careful with any of her books.

"It is by the same author as the book you are currently holding," she answered. This had started two weeks ago, when Zorn had asked about the meaning behind his name once again. She finally told him that it had been a word from a book she'd read; now Zorn was working to find it in all of her books.

Vivian gave a small look around her room, her focus on the shelf containing animals that her and her father had recently done. She felt that it could do with another animal or two. Maybe she'd find another one soon. If not, she could always ask her father if he'd found anything and wasn't using it for a request.

Moving a lock of brown hair out of her range of vision, Vivian looked to her book shelf. It had various books sitting there, and some that had been shoved back into their places. Frowning, Vivian moved over and pulled the books out, replacing them gently. She thought to say something to Zorn, but when she turned back to him, he was still looking through the book. Refraining from disturbing him from the book, she figured it could wait until he'd put her book down. At least then she could be sure the book would be safe.

Zorn looked to Vivian, scowling. "You're lucky you're interesting," he muttered, bringing his nose back down to the book, skimming the pages. He put the book down and grabbed a different one, by the same author, though Vivian hadn't had time to see which book it was. He froze, and Vivian watched. Maybe he'd finally found it in there, and found that he didn't exactly like what his name meant, though she had thought he'd enjoy it.

"Vivian, I don't understand the words in here!" The girl frowned at that. She'd had higher hopes for Zorn's reading capacity by now. Sighing, she took the book from him and asked him to point out what he couldn't understand. Upon seeing the line, Vivian gave a small smile.

"It's because that character is insane. Don't worry, you'll get through it well enough. You'll have more trouble following another character's dialouge later on."

"Great," Zorn muttered, grabbing the book back. He set the book down after a while, seeing as he'd yet to find the word in this book and he was starting to get frustrated with the strange words. Again, he put the book back and grabbed for a different one.

Hours passed by and Vivian had picked up a book, reading through it as Zorn continued his search. There was an exclamation from Zorn as he looked in the back of the last book by the author Vivian had indicated.

"Took you long enough," Vivian answered to his excitement.

"Like you were any help! Anyway, I know the meaning now," Zorn snapped back. Vivian didn't respond to his comment, leaving the Gazimon to either grumble to himself or yell at Vivian for not listening. Neither happened, as Zorn stiffened and gazed at Vivian's door.

"Something, something. I have a... feeling," Zorn said after a few seconds.

"Well, looks like you get some excitement, then," Vivian answered, already having exited her room. She made her way through the hallway, Zorn following after her. "Mother, I'll be back later. I'm off to look for another project," she called out. Yet again, she received a muffled response.

Sophie was quite glad her parents wouldn’t get home until well after the time she normally returned from school. She was also glad that she had her bicycle, which allowed her to cover more distances more quickly, and that her backpack was, for the most part, empty enough to allow her to run a quick errand before heading home. For the most part, this only involved running by the grocery store and purchasing several large packets of bologna. She had to buy the bologna in secret, lest her parents catch on to why she was buying it--or worse, started to think she actually liked the stuff.

“Dracomon, I’m home!” Sophie yelled as soon as she opened the door. She’d stashed the bike in the garage and verified that neither of her parents’ cars were in the driveway. “And I got the stuff!”

“YAY!” A small teal dragon came charging down the stairs and lunged at Sophie--or rather, Sophie’s backpack. “My bologna!”

Sophie could not help but be reminded of the Weird Al song of the same name as Dracomon frantically unzipped the backpack and began tearing open packets of bologna. He’d eat other things, true, but there was just something about bologna that made it his most favorite thing EVER. She shook her head and went to grab a snack for herself, deciding to make a quick plate of nachos. By the time the microwave finished melting the cheese, Dracomon had finished devouring his bologna and was quietly cleaning up the remains of the packaging. “Ooh! Can I have some?”

She lazily slid the plate over towards him as she moved to turn on the TV. “Please tell me you didn’t erase the DVR yet.”

Dracomon looked shocked at her assertion. “Why would I? I wanted to wait for you!” he exclaimed. “I’m not as good at picking out the characters yet,” he continued as Sophie found the episode of Justice League Unlimited that had been recorded that day. “Besides, I figured out how to set it myself,” he said proudly. “So I got to watch Sesame Street.”

They watched TV for a couple of hours until Sophie’s mom came home, at which point Dracomon was hastily smuggled upstairs to Sophie’s room, as was their routine. At this point, they’d generally start playing random games on Sophie’s X-box for the rest of the evening (quick break for supper), but Sophie was rather surprised when Dracomon suddenly paused a game. “What’s wrong? You never pause.”

Dracomon was looking around uneasily. “Sophie, I think there’s a Digimon somewhere…we gotta go save the day!”

Sophie nodded and opened the window for Dracomon, then ran out of the house herself, briefly yelling something at her mom concerning a Magic tournament at the comic shop. Outside, she rejoined Dracomon. “So, where are we going?” she asked, briefly wishing her bike was big enough to carry both of them. It had worked pretty well when Dracomon was a Babydmon, but those days were long gone…

“That way!” Dracomon pointed, jumping up and down.

“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”

It was starting to turn dark, and school had ended about three hours ago already. Dwayne had just made it home, and was now strolling his way across the lush courtyard of the Cousland residence. The boy had a small grin on his face, which he was obviously failing to suppress. Not that he was really trying. It wasn't like it's a sin to act a little happy once in a while, and he was in a pretty good mood.

After school, it hadn't taken Dwayne long to decide that returning straight home would have been very boring, so he'd found himself a nice date instead. It was nothing special in itself; just a casual coffee with your average next-door kind of girl. She was pretty (duh), but what had left its impression was that she was surprisingly well-informed about soccer-- enough to impress Dwayne, who was a soccer nut himself. You didn't find a girl like that often, period. He'd venture to say that he actually enjoyed the time together, even regretted a little that it was dark already and that keeping the girl with him any longer would likely result in her parents fretting that she had been kidnapped or something. Well, that's what people apparently have cell phones for these days; texting potential dates, not something as simple as calling a couple of worried parents...

The house was unsurprisingly quiet as Dwayne slipped his way in through the front doors. With his parents working, his sister at school and the servants being as good as walking statues except when they were among their own, Dwayne sometimes wondered if he should just get a parrot to brighten the atmosphere in this huge mansion his family called home.

Then again, he doubted he really needed another one.

"Dwaaaaaaaayne!" A blue blur rocketed itself at Dwayne as soon as he opened the door to his room-- a strictly forbidden zone for anyone in the house (except Dwayne, obviously) at all times-- and the boy held his hands out, barely in time to catch a giggling Chibimon from knocking the wind out of him.

"Sh, Chibimon," he reprimanded lightly, but the fond grin on his face pretty much ruined the effort. He entered the room, making sure to lock the door after closing it. "I told you countless times, people could hear you."

"No they can't!" Chibimon squirmed as Dwayne balanced him on the nook of one arm, still giggling and overall looking very happy. "This house is biiiiiiiiiiiiig! A Greymon could stomp through here and nobody would have heard a thing."

"You hyperbolic little dolphin." Dwayne sighed, taking his jacket off and hanging it on a nearby hanger. He waited for the customary 'am not!' from the talkative little critter, but, oddly enough, it never came. Curious, and already half-dreading the answer, he turned to look at the suddenly tense mon in his hold. "What is it, Chibimon?"

"Digimon, Dwayne." the little mon freed himself, landing with a light plop on the ground. He was soon hopping from one foot to another, looking as uneasy as though someone had stuck a safety pin in his eye. "Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

"...fine." Dwayne sighed. He had already long learned that it was pointless to try and stop the little blue thing-- he still didn't know what Chibimon exactly was; except that he was one of these outworldly creatures called Digimon, according to the guy himself.

Putting on the black jacket he'd just hung back over the blue-and-white checkered shirt he was wearing, he started to the door, grabbing Chibimon on the way and placing him on his shoulder. "You know the drill, right? Hang tight, not a sound."

"Yes'r!" Now sounding like a drill sergeant, Chibimon's uneasiness had rapidly vanished, replaced with some sort of odd obedience.

Letting out another sigh, Dwayne let themselves out of the save haven of his room and began sprinting down the halls in the too-big, too-empty house, now seriously considering if Chibimon had been right. A track team could be practicing marathon on one of these halls these days and no one would have noticed...

Sky sighed as he read a text that his mother had sent him. Take Jess back to yours ‘til tomorrow, I’m working late. Love Mum xx.

He then shoved the phone into his bag, where he could, trying to avoid it being squashed by the enormous amounts of text books, crammed into a small space. He threw his bag into the boot of his car and got into the front. It took about 3 start ups before the car would actually go. It had done this ever since Pinochmon had taken the battery out, and put it back in an hour later.

Skye continued driving, towards the school which luckily for him was only two extra minutes he had to drive. He arrived at the school and Jess, with a wide grin on her face, came rushing out of the doors. She had texta marks all on her hands and up her arms and a few around her nose and lips that you could tell she tried to rub off. Skye opened the door for the little girl.

“Hey squirt,” he said, messing up her hair with his hands. “Don’t Skye,” she whined, patting her hair back down.

“You need to camp at mine tonight, Mums working late again,” Skye said, however when he saw Jess’s disappointment he added. “I’ll buy you an ice-cream,” and she cheered up straight away.

Skye pulled over at the service station, just before his house and rushed into get a strawberry flavoured ice-cream. He also bought a weird drink that had tiny chunks of green floating in them. The man at the counter gave him a weird look and Skye rushed out.

Jess was eager for her ice-cream and ripped the wrapper off. When they arrived at the apartment, she had pink cream smeared around her face and a satisfied grin on her face. “Can I have another?” she pleaded with puppy dog eyes. “No squirt I have study to do.”

Skye rushed to the room and practically threw the TV remote at Jess and went into his room. Pinochmon jumped down from a book shelf where he had made a bed for himself. “Bit late today, are we?” he said with a hint of sarcasm.

Skye threw Pinochmon the weird coloured drink and threatened, “I have study to do. And trust me, I am not joking when I say I will give you to Jess to play with tonight.” Pinochmon shut his mouth after those comments, he could remember last time Jess played with him.

Skye began studying immediately, leaving his roommate to look after Jess, and he only stopped for pizza. After I while he took Jess to bed and decided to have a break even if it was only going to be for half an hour. He lay in his bed, basking in the moonlight that flooded his room. Then he felt a tugging from Pinochmon. Skye looked at him, with disgruntled eyes. He raised his eyebrows and Pinochmon nodded. “Near the school.”

So Pinochmon and Skye came rushing down the stairs once again, making sure to lock the door and got into the car. “Are you ready?” Skye asked rhetorically.

With her feet doing all of the work, Charlie's mind numbed to the world around her, her eyes trained solely on the rabbit like creature running ahead. It was strange that the worry of Lopmon being discovered had abandoned her, but something just did not seem right. There was always an urgency to find whatever digimon has crossed over, but now something was different. Lopmon had seem genuinely disturbed by whatever she had felt, which must have meant that something awful had made its way into the human world.

When she finally did take note of the route she were traveling, she realized that it was the very same path she had taken home! As they neared the school her heart sank, pleading that they would run past, but there was no such luck.

After having crossed the parking lot, Lopmon stood upon the green lawns, eyes searching desperately for some traces of a Digimon, but there was none.

"Are you sure there's something here?" Charlie asked, glancing around the grounds as well, she froze as she spotted another human, that was further away from the building than herself. It was a young boy, and he was staring at the roof, but she hadn't the sense to think anything of it. Instead she was fixated on the large bird beside him, that was clearly another Digimon.

"Is... that what you felt, Lopmon?" The girl asked, after having pointed towards the boy. She was shaking slightly, as the initial sight of him had her thinking that the best kept secret in the city would finally be exposed, but having spotted the digimon with him, she felt relieved. The bird did not seem as though it wanted to hurt humans, in fact, it seemed to be with the boy! It was absolutely marvelous, not only would they avoid a fight, but they might very well have a companion for future battles!

"No." Lopmon's short response hastily put a damper on Charlie's hopes, though she too was interested to see that another human apparently had a Digimon friend.

"Oh... Still... That's good news right. Now we might have help." She smiled, but it was brief as she heard some noise from above. It was quite, and at first she ignored it, but the sound began to grow louder, and then eventually it seemed to be coming from all over the roof.

Backing up slowly, Charlie had only made it a few steps when a long, stringy web like thread shot from the top of the building, and attached itself to one of the high school yard gates designed to prevent the younger children from wandering far at recess.

"I guess that's what you felt up there, then," Charlie said, her voice calm. However this calmness was soon to fade, as football sized spiders began to swarm down the sides of the building. At first, the increasingly darkness made them hard to spy, but they were eventually easy enough to see, particularly as they got closer.

Charlie could not help to glance back at the streets beyond the parking lot, and hope that everything between the road way and the school would shield what was about to happen from any on lookers.

"Be careful, Charlie," Lopmon suddenly spoke up, drawing the girl's attention back to the situation. "That webbing is too large for these little Dokugumon... There must be a large one around..."

"Bigger than those?!" Charlie asked, sounding alarmed at the thought. All the same, as the 'small' spiders made their way towards ground level, she took several steps away, afraid that the buggers might lurch off of the building and onto her. I really hope these things can't jump...

"Blazing Ice!" Lopmon suddenly shouted, having launched herself into the air and shot an attack at several of the Dokugumon. They may have been small, but her attack only managed to knock them to the ground, where they scuttled about, dazed.

"Hey, Lopmon, watch out, you're going to beat up the school!" Charlie exclaimed, staring as a chunk of ice that had managed to lodge itself on the side of the school.

"Prioritize, Charlie. I either squish these bugs or they eat us," she responded, as she landed on the ground, her expression as serious as ever.

(Oh, Hatter, I noticed in your post that your character is leaving his little sister home alone... Even though she went to his place so that she would not have to be home alone... xD

Everyone, feel free to control/attack and take out some of the smaller Dokugu's. Not the big one yet, though.)

Meghan really didn't want to run. Running meant sweating, and sweating meant messing up her clothes with foul smelling porous excretion. Unfortunately, when it came to alien invaders wrecking havoc in her home city, this little girl was willing to make an exception. She jogged after Liamon, who was sprinting ahead and waiting in place impatiently while her partner caught up.

Because the park was somewhat close to the school, it didn't take too long to get there, although the pair had no idea that was where they were heading until they actually arrived. Liamon shuddered as the feeling got stronger, and she saw the cause of the disturbance, a long web going from the roof of the school to a fence, and tons of little spiders crawling across the web and down the side of the building.

Growling, the lioness shot forward, mouth open, and lunged at the spiders, biting violently at their necks and cracking their shells, causing murky blood to seep from the wounds. When one was felled, she turned to another, but they kept coming. It didn't seem like they would ever be subdued.

While Liamon fought, too preoccupied to have noticed otherwise, Meghan stared at the other four individuals at the location. Two humans and two digimon. Amazing. She knew of the invasion because of Liamon, so the digimon didn't surprise her, but she hadn't thought that other digimon would have allied with the humans so fast. Weren't they supposed to be invading the place, like the . . . spiders?

Meghan shuddered. She didn't like spiders. She wasn't afraid of them, but they weren't very feminine, and she really did her best to avoid them whenever she could. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of those nights.

She advanced slowly, approaching the girl, and stood by her side, smiling weakly. "You seem to know what you're doing, at least," she remarked, rubbing her arms, either for warmth or nervousness. "My, there sure are a lot of them. You don't suppose they're too dangerous, do you? I mean, they're j--just little things, right?"

"Oh, dear, it seems we are not alone," Elsumon said to Hewy as two more girls showed up, with two more digimon, even. Well, that sure was cool, Hewy thought. Though, it was just two girls... There were boys too, right? He didn't think he could handle it if he were the only boy partnered up with a digimon. "Hewy, focus!" Elsumon chided.

They tuned into watch the Dokugamon sending a blast of webbing downward, and sent on a small legion of 'little spiders' that were about ten times the size of normal spiders. Hewy shivered. Spiders were pretty gross. Then, the one girl's bunny digimon attacked the spiders, and manage to land a hit on the school. Hewy grinned, but it almost faded when the girl chided her partner for it.

"Elsumon, I want you to do as much damage to the school as you can," Hewy insisted. "I mean, just think of the possibilities. No school," he sounded pretty excited. Elsumon sighed. Hewy huffed, folding his arms in a pouting manner. "Fine... but don't worry about blowing it up, either," he added.

"Very well," Elsumon responded. "I will assist the digimon, you join the humans, and make sure the lot of you stay out of the way."

"Uh, right," the blonde boy nodded, turning towards the giant spider mon on the roof. She had fired off thread, and soon filled the area with lots of mini-hers. They were huge according to normal spider size, and still plenty creepy. He shuddered slightly, but watched as Elsumon ran over to join the white cat and the brown bunny digimon.

"Spiral Wind!" Elsumon called, sending a gust of wind towards a cluster of about three spiders. It wasn't enough to kill them, but did send them flying in different directions. Elsumon landed on the ground, eying the other two digimon their, that were presumably on his side. "I suggest we work together to eliminate this threat. I do not know your level of skill, but myself and Hewy can handle ourselves. Still, it would not be wise to allow an opportunity for teamwork to pass us by," he said in a somewhat pompous manner. Another 'little' spider scurried towards him, and Elsumon swept his wing to the side. It slapped into the spider digimon, throwing it back, and it landed on its back. Legs scrambled trying to pick itself back up. "How bothersome. I hate spiders."

Meanwhile, Hewy immediately ran over to the two girls. Girls were kinda icky to him. But he could tolerate them for now. They didn't seem too bad, even if that one girl didn't want her digimon destroying the school. That was lame, in Hewy's mind at least. "Hi," he said to the two, stopping before them. "My name's Hewy, and that's Elsumon. We're partners. Don't worry, stand back, and we'll show you how it's done," he grinned widely. "Go get 'em, Elsumon!"

Elsumon did so, sending another Spiral Wind into the fray, spreading apart more spiders. One of them had landed on its back, and Elsumon set his sights on it. "Little Peck!" he called, darting his head forward. His orange beak glowed faintly before a burst of white energy flew from it, striking the spider digimon. It burst into data. He continued his onslaught.

"So, I think it'll be a good idea if the digimon 'accidentally' wrecked the school," Hewy said, glancing back at the two girls. "I mean, who likes school, right?"

((OOC: This pair is fun. Cocky little boy and his pompous bird friend. XD))

A circle had been cleared around her. Kiara was safe--for now. For a few moments she stood there, panting, blood dripping from her mouth where she'd been grasping the necks of the fiendish little demons. Hearing a loud sound, she turned her head a little to see a spiraling gust of wind slam into three of the invaders. Turning her whole body around, she saw that a bird digimon had landed nearby, and that there was a rabbit like digimon there too.

At first she was glad for the company, but then the bird talked. Her nose began to scrunch up with each new syllable he uttered, until the look of disgust was clear as day on her face. The bird and his boy could handle themselves, could they? Fine. She'd let them. Turning around, she stuck her tail in the air and proceeded to march away.

Meghan, however, was taking the newcomer much easier than Kiara was. She waved to Hewy when he greeted them, and only gigged when he pronounced him and the bird partners who could easily fell the threat at hand.

"Oh yeah?" she gigged, nudging the girl beside her a little as though it were all a big joke. "Well aren't you a brave little guy." When Hewy kept going, she practically squealed, snapping her fingers as she exclaimed, "Oh my god, you're so adorable! I totally agree. School sucks. A little vacation wouldn't hurt anyone, right?"

She only turned her attention away when she saw Kiara approaching. Her smile faded as she worried that maybe she'd been injured. "Hey, you alright?"

"I'm fine," the lioness answered, sitting herself down at Meghan's feet and proceeding to lick her massive paw and wipe at the blood on her muzzle.

"Then, um, what are you doing here, and not there, where the ugly monstrous spider things are?"

Kiara's eyes flashed at Elsumon, but she said nothing, simply continuing to groom herself, appearing oblivious to the world's problems as most cats manage to do.

Meghan sighed and gave her comrades an apologetic look. "Heh, heh. . . . Well, this is Kiara! She's a liamon. Isn't she a sweet little thing?" Yet even as she spoke her teeth were gritted. What was Kiara doing sitting out from the battle?

“It’s the school!” Sophie excitedly called to Dracomon as they rapidly approached. But she could see more humans, and more Digimon, and a whole buttload of giant spiders. “Oh, yuck. Spiders. I always figured the place had rats, but that many spiders?” She wrinkled her nose and killed a chuckle that threatened to erupt the second she remembered how Babydmon had reacted the first time he’d spotted a spider in her room. So glad Mom and Dad weren’t home and I was able to say I’d only been testing the smoke alarms…

“You mean you wouldn’t have been surprised if we’d showed up and the place was covered in rats?” Dracomon asked seriously.

“Not really, no.” Sophie’s attention was now focused on the humans… “Dracomon, I think there are other humans with Digimon over there.”

“You mean we’ll have a superhero team-up?” Dracomon asked excitedly.

“Yeah, I think so.” Sophie broke out in a bit of a grin. By that time, they’d arrived close enough for Dracomon to do some damage. “Alright, big guy, show those spiders what you’re made of!”

Dracomon gave a mischievous little giggle and took a running leap towards the spiders. He landed right on top of one, squishing it, and he immediately spun and took another out with his tail, just to show off. Grinning, he opened his mouth wide. “Baby Breath!” A fireball shot out and smashed into a few spiders, and as fate would have it, giant spiders and fire didn’t really mix too well.

That would be cooler if his attack name weren’t so absurd, Sophie thought as she approached the small group of humans that had gathered. “Hey!” she called, giving a friendly, somewhat goofy wave. “I didn’t think there were any other humans running around with Digimon like this.” She glanced down at the cat Digimon, wondering why it wasn't off squashing spiders with the rest of them.

Elsumon felt almost offended at that lioness digimon just waltzed away. The nerve of some digimon. He scowled, watching her go over to clean her fur, of all things. Some digimon were just... bothersome. He scoffed, turning back to attack more of these 'little' spiders, but the call of another digimon's attack cut him off. "Oh dear, more of them?" he pondered looking over to Dracomon. They seemed to be popping up all over...

>>"Oh my god, you're so adorable! I totally agree. School sucks. A little vacation wouldn't hurt anyone, right?"

"Yeah, heh, heh," Hewy gave a nervous chuckle. Man, this girl was so loud, and weird and everything. She was such a girl. Hewy still thought most girls had cooties, especially these older ones. His sister wasn't so, er, 'chipper' like this girl. Well, she was nice at least, right?

"So, uh, Kiara?" Hewy said, looking over to the digimon after the upbeat one introduced her. "Why aren't you helping the others?" he asked curiously. "I mean, Elsumon can probably handle it, but don't you feel like a lazy pile just laying around while they do all the work?" He asked in an almost cocky manner.

The sight of a dragon digimon joining the fray made Hewy light up. Dragons were so cool. He grinned brightly. He must've had a really cool guy Tamer. Hewy bet he could get along will with that guy. He heard someone call, and glanced over.

His face fell. "Awe nuts, another girl?" he whined. He didn't really realize it could easily be considered rude, especially since the tone he used was similar to describing something 'gross'. His fears were coming true. Only girls seemed to be tamers these days. Girls were so icky. How lame.

((OOC: Lol, girls are icky.))

Before Charlie was even aware of it, there was another tamer, a girl appearing closer to her age whom she recognized vaguely from her school, standing at her side. "Er, well, yeah, we've been doing this for a while now..." She murmured, watching curiously as the cat like digimon retreated - to clean herself. Blinking some, she turned her gaze to the little boy that was very vocal about his disliking school.

"Well, it's not that I like being in school, it's just that... You know, if the janitors get here tomorrow morning and find the school in a pile of rubble, somebody is going to know that something is up," Charlie point out, using one hand to gesture as she spoke while the other propped itself lightly on her hip. She was surprised that they could think so recklessly, but opted that they were just children after all, while she was practically an adult.

From there she heard another voice, and twisted abruptly to see the source. Another girl was approaching, with a dragon that immediately pitched into the spiders. Her attention was torn a final time as her Digimon yell to her.

"Charlie, watch out, the big one if moving!" Cried Lopmon, whom was battling her way through a swarm of the little buggers. For a moment she disappeared under a mass of them, but with a burst of ice she emerged from the pile of twitching corpses, but could not manage to fill the distance between herself and her human.

Eying the spiders warily, she noted that their Digimon seemed to have at least put a dent in their numbers. That may have eased her mind, had she not seen the mother spider creeping along the rooftop.

Is there any need of a spider being that big?

The largest Dokugumon, having spotted perfectly good meals just standing around on the grass, shot several more strands of webbing out, all of which attached to the same fencing that she had targeted earlier. She began to make her way across, and in spite of her large form she moved quickly, and without putting strain on her threads.

"Erm... I think it's coming after us," Charlie pointed out, though wondered if she was just being paranoid. Nevertheless, she baked away, as Lopmon also seemed to think that the Dokugumon were up to something.

After having clambered about halfway across her webbing, the mother Dokugumon stopped, and turned side on. Her front legs began to twitch slightly as she shot webs that anchored easily on the ground.

"Dwayne, there're humans! A lot of them!" Chibimon called from his perch on Dwayne's head, waving his flippers around excitedly.

"I can see that." The boy huffed in reply, slowing his run down to a jog now that the school wasn't far ahead. It was dark around, but Dwayne could see that Chibimon was right; he could make out a small group of humans, all gathered near the school building. Briefly Dwayne wondered what they were doing, if they had the same purpose for coming as he did, but he figured he could always find out anytime later. Especially considering the fact that there were dozens of spiders the size of a football crawling around, and an exceptionally big one-- about the size of a goal-- was clambering toward said group of humans.

Dwayne felt a familiar weight disappear as Chibimon abandoned his perch on the boy's head. There was a brief flash of light, and the bipedal form of Veemon now stood in Chibimon's place. "Veemon to the rescue!"

Before Dwayne could get in a word, Veemon let out a vicious war cry, not once hesitating as he sprang toward the biggest spider in the gang.

"Veemon! Be caref--"

A panicked yelp escaped Veemon as he made the mistake of stepping onto one of the webs that the mother Dokugumon had just shot to the ground. He spent a few seconds attempting to free himself, to no avail, before grinning sheepishly, awkwardly turning back to face Dwayne. "Oops."

Dwayne resisted the urge to facepalm-- a decision that soon proved useful, as it allowed him to spot three mini Dokugumon which were clambering over to where Veemon was, apparently (and reasonably) thinking that the trapped lizard was easy meal.

"Veemon, ahead!" He was already running as he shouted the warning, set on freeing his digimon before the big boss too decided that the blue half-immobilized lizard was warm and easy meal.
