How come, with atleast 15 episodes between WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon's debut to the end, the other chosen digimon were not allowed to reach mega level? That was definitely an adequate amount of time for the producers to incorporate the rest of the megas.

So why do you think we didn't get to see the other megas?
Which digimon would have been there mega?

Well, Zephyrmon is out of the question, since it wasn't created during that time. However, Phoenixmon was, so that would've been a much, much better choice to use. Same for Tentomon, who would have HerculesKabuterimon. Otherwise, I fully agree with you, and this was a downfall of the first couple seasons, which also works if you altered it for season 4. It really is a shame that only two characters' digimon really got to shine, and makes everyone else look like sidekicks more than anything.

Although they weren't shown in the actual series, the official Mega forms for the Digimon were announced. Gomamon was Plesiomon (Armadillomon's was Vikemon, though), Biyomon's was Phoenixmon, Tentomon's was Heracles Kabuterimon, Palmon's was Rosemon. In Zero Two, the official Mega forms were Imperialdramon for V-mon (whether he DNAed with Wormmon or not), Dino Beemon > Gran Kuwagamon for Wormmon, and Valkyriemon for Silphymon.

I really don't see how Gomamon's was Plesiomon, and Armadillomon's was Vikemon. Neither of their lines felt as though they would lead up to those respective digimon, and Vikemon seems like a tons better option for Gomamon, though I am NOT say Plesiomon would be Armadillomon's

My reasoning: Once Gomamon hit Zudomon, it's appearance and such seemed to be better going into Vikemon. Why I don't think Armadillomon's Mega would be Vikemon, is this- when was the last time you've seen an armadillo and a viking together?! Exactly....

Unfortunately, if you want to stick with "canon", you don't have a choice:

The (Japanese) D-Terminal states that ExVeemon becomes Paildramon, Stingmon becomes DinoBeemon, Aquilamon becomes Silphymon and Ankylomon becomes Shakkoumon - therefore the lines have been officially appointed by Bandai, and if you don't like it, it doesn't really matter.
As to Megas - Paildramon's is still Imperialdramon, while Shakkoumon's is Vikemon, and Silphymon's is Valkyrimon. DinoBeemon's is GranKuwagamon.

WHAT IS GOMAMON'S MEGA?

Plesiomon (named Preciomon by Bandai, but called Plesiomon in Japan and in the US version of Tamers). This fact is stated by the Japanese D-Terminal, which likewise states that HerculesKabuterimon, Rosemon and Phoenixmon/Hououmon are the Mega forms of Tentomon, Palmon and Biyomon, respectively.

Now, fanfiction is a whole 'nother kettle of fish when it comes to Digivolution lines. But if you want "canon", you gotta take it or leave it.

Tomonari, I was just stating how I like to see it but not fact.

ShiningCelebi and J-Mon I suppose that canonization of those mega can be argued by they lack compared to the other megas we have. I feel like those Megas (minus Rosemon) would short change the other rookies.

I still don't understand why the others never reached Mega however....

I actually like the fact that only two made it to mega. 

I used to be of the opinion that all of the others should have made it to mega, but after seeing Tamers, I changed my mind.  Now a season with only three main characters almost required they all get to mega.  But when I saw it in Tamers it seemed like it just made the mega level less special, it was just another level for all digimon.

In adventure, only the absolute strongest made it to mega.  I kind of like that, because it gives the other children other purposes.  As for Angemon, he almost doesn't need a mega level.  HolyAngemon was able to take out Piedmon, and ever wonder why he didn't attack during the final battle with MaloMyotismon.  The battle would have been over before it even started.

The reason why they didn't include any of the others. Was most likely because it would have taken a lot longer to incorporate them into the series. Why do you think each season only had 50 episodes in them? They probably were on a deadline for ending the season.

By the Dark Masters arc it was already pretty clear that they were wrapping up the series. Building up episodes for the Digimon to all evolve into mega levels would seem like an afterthought. Mega evolutions are not THAT cool.

(also, I like the Plesiomon and Hououmon evolutions. Hououmon especially-- I mean, Zephyrmon? good god, not every female mega level has to be a scantily-clad anthropomorph)

if every digimon reached the mega level they would have had to make atleast 5-10 more episodes and they probably didnt have the funding to make anymore episodes considering it was the first season.

I saw a Fan Line a while back that I prefer for Armadimon.
Gomamon would have Vikemon as his Mega.
And Armadimon would evolve to ClavisAngemon, matching Shakkoumon.
I still don't like the (excessive) re-use of GranKuwagamon. He's Kunemon/Kokuwamon AND Wormmon's Mega? But there really aren't that many choices outside of BlackImperialdramon. >.>

Well for 1 Mat and Tai were the main Characters of Digimon Adventure, so having their Digimon reach Mega nonchalant of the others dont really mean anything. Patamon is 1 of the Sacred Seraphim's, but it still dont change the fact of how the storyline was created.
