Here are the newest scans from V-Jump which include a new Digimon game for the Nintendo DS, titled Digimon Championship 2008. Any translation would be nice.

For some reason when I looked at this game, Pokemon Ranger came up in my head. I can't wait to see what this game is like.

Looks a lot like a V-Pet or Digimon World 1 or D-Project -esque Game, just that you can catch Digimon.

The V-Pets are sadly only the Twins that have been out for months. And Commander Yuu is clearly overdoing it.

Looks good, but I hate how they release news on a new game just as soon as I buy Dawn. I'm situated in one game, only to be forced to get another later.

Yeah, but remember, it releases in Japan like 5 months before we get it. So you got some time. =]

It's release is sometime in 2008 for Japan.

This game does look interesting and reminds me of a V-Pet, it's graphics look pretty pixelated too. Either way, It's still a buy for me.

I'm waiting for Digimon World Online.

It looks pretty interesting.

It's just that the graphics are a step down from DWDS/2. =/
Also the gameplay, from those screens, looks a tad...well, messy.

I'll hold further judgement until we start getting the bulk of info for this game.

From Picture 1:
- 200+ Digimon will be making an appearance in the game.

From picture 2
Step 1: Capture Wild Digimon
Step 2: Tame and Train them
Step 3: Let them part-take in Tourneys.

Note for Step 3: The Digimons go all out on a Battle Royale on their own. Tamers have completely no control over it.

Wow, the digimon fend for themselves in battles...interesting.

Trust me, if it's anything like the D-1 Tamers system, it's not only not interesting, but horrible.

Tss, you shouldn´t play D-1 Tamers ( or any WS Game of that Series ) with the Ai.

If it is like D-Project, it shouldn´t be a problem at all.

This looks pretty cool. I'm hoping for a V-Pet-esque game like they had for the Wonderswan, so we over in the west have a better chance of getting it.

Instead of making consistent remakes of Digimon World DS, why not give us remakes of the old PS World games for next gen consoles, or a Digimon Rumble Arena 3 with online play?
