You want someone to moderate your creativity?
There's a reason. Believe me, me and Celebi have had discussions about it before.

I dunno much about forum coding and whatnot, but how about visitor messages?
Is it possible? I go on a few other forums and they all have visitor messages. Can we?

I'm not really sure what you mean by visitor messages. Some kind of announcement/welcome at the top of the page?

They don't understand one simple logic - what good is reputation if you are dead? You truly are the pinnacle of both brains and brawn.

Visitor messages are sort of like having a personal forum on your profile page. People who view your profile can leave a short message, and you can chat back and forth with that person. It doesn't show up on the main forum, and it's easier and quicker than using PMs.
I enjoy them on the forums I go to that do have them, but I am not sure if this style of forum software has the option for them.

Yup. It's this. Too bad that the forum doesn't support it.

Ew, I think if we had that I'd want an option to turn it off too.
(I'm currently experiencing some rage at another forum I'm on trying to become facebook, so..yeah...)

That wouldn't be too good. Celebi would just use it to his advantage to pick up women if they compliment him on his smarts or if they ask if he's single or something. But shhhh, don't tell Celebi.

I'm going to very, very strongly suggest we lock name changes. It's ridiculous. I can't even keep up anymore.

I unsecond this suggestion. Even though I haven't been here long, I haven't noticed all that many name changes. I noticed an extra butterfly on Audience and you removed that last part of your username. It's still identifiable.

Mmm, I wouldn't say lock name changes. Although I do hate it when people change their names and not give any hints as of who they once were. Hell, it annoys the numesludge out of me. I look at some member named ____ and I can't remember who he/she/it was named before and chou going from some unique Japanese name to r i k i o, it can get irritating.
I just say to people that do change their names often, please for the love of your saving Grace, don't change everything like your avatar and signature too. I mean, I may have changed my name but thanks to my sexy-self-portrait avatar and the How I Met Your Mother, everyone knows it's the same old Foz we all know and love. Like I said: it gets irritating.
Just make that clear to people who change names.
... chou is r i k i o, right?

If name changing is an issue, why not make a thread specifically for name changes? Like the one on wtw, a user could post in it when he or she changes his name with the previous name and the new one.
Unless there is a thread like this already and I've merely not seen it?
Like the one on wtw
wtw
No.

Did you REALLY need to double post for that? But yes, we don't really need any other method to keep up with name changes other than some indication of continuity by the one doing the changing. (Or at the very least, drop a hint in the avatar text.)

lolol Epic fail. I think as long as no one goes overboard with name changes it should be fine. Besides, anyone who constantly and drastically changes thier name is pretty much retarded anyway.
